When Will They Learn?

Pat Tillman's heroic story was poignant enough to bring tears to the eyes of a barbarian. He walked away from a lucrative NFL contract to join the elite Army Rangers following the Sept. 11 attacks, and served proudly in Afghanistan. His tragic death brought praise worthy of a Messiah from sea to shining sea. Nobody cares to admit that it was all a giant U.S. Army coverup. Except me. I tell it like it is, minus the bullshit. Pat Tillman was killed by friendly fire. He was brutally cut down by his own special forces comrades. At the ridge of a canyon in Afghanistan, he and two buddies became separated from the remainder of his unit. They heard explosions and gunfire and went to help out their brothers, who had fallen under Taliban fire. When they were spotted by the U.S. humvee, they were fired upon with rifles and a machine gun. They desperately waved their arms and shouted their names in a futile attempt for recognition. Pat had the brilliant idea of tossing a smoke grenade as a type of signal. When the smoke cleared, the gunfire had temporarily ceased. Pat and his two friends emerged from their cover to reunite with their buddies in the humvee, but the gunfire resumed. Pat Tillman was riddled with .50 caliber bullets from the machine gun of his squadron compatriot. In fact, although the gunner weilded the unit's only machine gun, he fired every last round of ammunition at Pat and his friends, killing all three. This is a hero's death. As for the guilty parties? They were removed from the elite Rangers but were not discharged from the Army. Clearly these killing machines are just what Uncle Sam is looking for. For shame, America. For shame.

The U.S. Army is not the only team kicking some serious ass. The mighty Philadelphia Eagles put on a shootout of their own this afternoon, completely destroying the Green Bay Fudge Packers 47-17. King Donovan tossed 5, count 'em 5, touchdown passes IN THE FIRST HALF. He was benched for the final 10 minutes of the game after amassing almost 500 passing yards. Folks, this team is for real!

Studying today was a real bust, so tomorrow is gonna have to pick up the slack. I'll write again when I need to procrastinate more.
