You were expecting otherwise?

The headline speaks for itself: "U.S. report finds no Iraqi WMD after 1991." No duh! Twelve years of economic sanctions eroded Iraqi WMD production capabilities, and intelligence officials concluded that Saddam only weakened with time. If inspectors were given more time, the absence of WMDs would have become readily apparent and W. would have required a different fabricated reason to attack the "guy who tried to kill my Dad."

All this talk of tyrants reminds me of a story I read earlier about the excavation of one of Genghis Khan's Mongolian palaces. Did you know that no one has ever found the location of his tomb? Apparently, 13 or 14 of the Khans are buried in the same place, including Genghis and Kublai. In order to keep the tomb location secret, anyone who witnessed the large burial party enroute to the tomb was murdered. After the burial, all servants and guards were also slaughtered and a baby camel was buried near the tomb in the presence of the camel's mother. This was done so that the mother camel would be able to lead the family back to the tomb whenever they wished to visit or perform the necessary ancestral rituals. Wow, I find this stuff incredibly intriguing!

Did anyone notice during the VP debates yesterday that Cheney erroneously referred viewers to the website www.factcheck.com in order to dispute Edward's anti-Halliburton charges? That website actually sends you to billionaire George Soros's personal site. He's a huge anti-Bush guy. Nice going, Cheney. He probably meant www.factcheck.org. I bet he also always thought that the official White House site was www.whitehouse.com (it's a porn site).

In my condo search last night, I found one that has a jacuzzi in the bathroom. Time to end the search and seal the deal immediately! Although that arrangement is not very conducive to studying...
